Professional Resume Development

  • Highlight your employment, education, volunteer experience and personal qualities
  • Develop a professional resume, cover letter, and thank you response
  • CLC staff work together with you to develop a resume that represents you in the most positive manner possible
  • Cost:  $125.00

Interviewing Techniques

  • Learn interviewing skills to make a great first impression
  • Career counselors at the CLC will help you set yourself apart
  • Cost:  $35/hour

Workforce Connections

Workforce Connections is funded by a grant awarded by the John T. Vucurevich Foundation. The grant funding provides assistance and support to adult education students so that they can enter into and succeed in post-secondary programs that ultimately lead to wages for families to be self-sufficient, while creating a pipeline to meet high-demand, high-wage jobs in the Rapid City area.

Project Skills

  • Provides Paid work experience program for high school students with disabilities in South Dakota
  • Cooperative arrangement between the state vocational rehabilitation agencies and the local school districts
  • Provides students the opportunity to learn different skills in a variety of job placements, with the assistance of a job coach.
  • Project Skills will help to build the student’s work history, references and help them move into different and better jobs as they mature and are ready to take on new challenges.

Benefits Specialist

The South Dakota Benefits Specialist Network assists Social Security beneficiaries with transitioning from dependence on public benefits to paid employment and greater financial independence.

Benefits Specialists provide Social Security beneficiaries with accurate and complete information about how employment will impact their public benefits, such as: SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP, housing assistance, etc.

Benefits Specialists also support Social Security beneficiaries in their efforts to obtain, retain, or enhance employment. Ask a question on our South Dakota Benefits Specialist Network Facebook page.
